Hucklebucks

We went to an AMAZING restaurant this weekend, Hucklebucks.

BBQ.

The inside of the restaurant is rustic, to say the least. Think Bass Pro Shops.
There was a small log hanging from the ceiling which was covered with fishing lures. There was metal halfway up the wall, with wood meeting the tin and reaching all the way up to the ceiling. Beautiful, relaxing setting.
And the food. Was. Amazing.
We ordered a meal that could feed 3-4 people. This was for two adults and one child. We ate to our hearts content and had leftovers for the next day. We ate the rest of it for lunch on Sunday.
All in all, it was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed visiting in such quaint restaurant while we waited for our food.
They were really busy and only had one waitress working that day. But it was such a neat place with so many visual interests, we didn’t mind at all.
My opinion is that eating out is so much more than the eating. It’s an age-old tradition of human beings to gather at a table to eat and fellowship with family and friends. We were hungry and the place was fairly busy and it took 15-20 minutes to get our food, which was perfect. Especially with only one waitress. Even if it had taken an hour to get our food, we wouldn’t have cared. We were just hanging out and taking a little road trip that day, so we didn’t have anything else pressing on us at the time.
A large group of motorcycle riders had stopped in right before we got there. It was encouraging to see all of them interacting with each other and enjoying their time together!
It was such a refreshing time with my little family.
I would highly recommend eating at Hucklebucks BBQ. There is one in Ava, MO (where we ate) and one in Seymour, MO.
