When God Arrives

We don’t know for sure that Jesus was born in December, but we celebrate His birth at that time of year anyway.
We do know that Jesus was born during a time of civil unrest (zealots attempting to overthrow the Roman government), He was born after Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem to be TAXED…
there were so many things happening during this time in history and in the middle of it all…

He arrived.

There were no epidurals.
No hospitals.
No OB-GYN doctors.

We don’t know all the details, but that first Christmas wasn’t the perfect setting we often think of.
It was a time of cultures (Jewish and Roman) clashing and the religious leaders of the day were perverting traditions to better suit themselves.

Everything was so far from perfect.
Yet, that’s when He came.

If you’re life isn’t perfect right now, that’s the perfect time for Him to arrive.
It may not be the “most wonderful time of the year” in a lot of ways, but the bad times are best times for Him to come…

The bad times are the best times for Him to come to where you are.

How is He making His way into your life right now?
And are you seeing Him come to your situation in an imperfectly perfect way like He did back then?

The promise given way back then is the same promise that He gives today.
Immanuel, God WITH us.

He promised to always be with us.
To never leave us. To never forsake us.

Look for Him where you are.
No matter how bad your situation is, He will be there.
