The best memories I have are the ones I wasn’t trying to make.
Every time I tried to make memories, my only memory was trying so hard to make memories. I got caught up in the process. Those previous times together with friends turned out so well that I wanted to equal or surpass that amount of fun the next time we were together.
My focus was on making memories, not on the people around me.
To have good memories, the focus must be on loving and enjoying the people around you, not on making a memory.
It also seems that my best memories were interruptions to my schedule. And I was probably a little perturbed at the time, but it turned out the best.
I also have to say that I am a stick in the mud sometimes. I’m not good at spontaneity. And I’m trying to work on that.
All that to say: try just focusing on your friends and family and building a life together. And the memories will take shape during those moments.
And maybe try doing something out of the ordinary.
to those needing to let the memories happen,
