The Opportunity

I finished a book the other day that was so good. I wanted to read it a second time. And I think I will before the year is over.

I want to share a sentence that stuck out to me:
“Adversity is often the seedbed of opportunity.”

I’ve experienced this truth more so recently in my life than ever before.

I am thankful for hard times.

I believe that hard times are essential to living a successful life.

Something wells up inside me when I experience adversity. I don’t know what it is.

It’s almost like an adrenaline rush.

It’s almost as if I hear God saying, “All right, boy. I’m about to make you better.”

And my non-verbal, internal response is, “All right! Let’s go! I can’t wait to see how it turns out.”

Do I enjoy getting out of my comfort zone? Yeah. I do.

The more I do it, the more I feel like a new person every time it happens.

I used to feel fear and dread. And sometimes, both still attempt to rear ugly heads in my life.

But I’m learning to embrace the difficulties of life and how to ride the waves of adversity so that they become the vehicle by which I reach my goals and dreams.

“Adversity is often the seedbed of opportunity.”

Growth is uncomfortable, but it’s also fruitful. Change may not be easy, but it can make things better.

I’ve found out that nothing is ever perfect. If we wait until things are perfect, we may never do anything.

All I need to know is whether or not God approves. And if He is backing me up, I’m diving in.

His view is better than mine. And what I perceive as absolute chaos is what He sees as the perfect time.

It’s all about perspective.

to those seeing the opportunities,
