To be rich in the United States, you must collect many dollar bills. The process by which we do that is called work. Work is the process by which we receive money. It’s trading one’s skills for money.
If you can’t build a guitar, you have to trade your hard-earned cash for one. It’s a transaction, an exchange.
I know that nowadays, we have debit and credit cards, so this idea may break down, but please understand what I’m trying to say. If a billionaire came from the United Kingdom, he wouldn’t be able to use British currency in the United States if I comprehend our monetary system correctly.
That billionaire would have to exchange money for an accepted currency, or it’s almost as if he’s penniless.
All that to say, I don’t have much money.
But I do have friends.
The process by which you obtain a friend is much easier than the work it takes to collect a dollar bill.
A man that has friends must be friendly.
You can’t exchange a good friend. Well, you could, but it would be unwise to let them go. They will be the one’s to listen, comfort, advise, pray, reach out, and care. No matter how far apart you are.
You can go anywhere in the world and a good friend will always be there. You can count on them. They’re just a phone call away.
I have people in my life who are worth more than their weight in gold. I have great friends.
Therefore, I am rich.
to my friends,
– Caleb
