Planting season is upon us.
I’ve talked about it too much, probably.
We’ve planted tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, onions, lettuce, an oak tree, three loblolly pine trees, and a partridge in a pear tree.
I love planting things. I’m not a green thumb, though. Last year I left a plant outside that should have been inside, and it died. The cold got it.
We’ll be planting some cucumbers, watermelons, and pumpkins when the time is right.
Meanwhile, I need to go rock hunting again. It’s time to do some landscaping.
In other news, our entire household is sick again. It started with Son #1 coughing up a storm, then Son #2, then the wife and I.
It hit me about nine o’clock last night. It hit Charity early this morning. One thing about our family is we like to share.
This morning I was aching so much that I barely made it out of bed. I felt like I had swam ten miles. It was a whole-body kind of sore.
Today was made possible by ibuprofen and sheer willpower. Ya gotta do whatcha gotta do.
Anyway, get out there and plant something. It’ll help ya feel better. It did me.
to the weak and willing,
– Caleb
