The Topics

These are my thoughts tonight. Subject to change. Not necessarily the consensus amongst most people.

Recently, I saw a notebook in the stationary aisle. I liked the style of it. I opened it up to find topics at the top of each page.

It was a notebook designed to inspire creativity in the writing mind of whoever had $30 lying around to buy it.

I don’t need topics. As I’ve stated, I’ll write about nothing, as you know, if you read any of my posts.

But just for fun, I searched “topics to write about” online. Five of the top six topics were of zero interest to me.

Movie review.
Music review.
TV show guides.
Celebrity gossip.
Celebrity interviews.
Arts and culture.

The only thing that interested me was the music review. But I’ve already done that. I’ve posted about bluegrass a couple of times. I’ve posted about culture.

Art is creativity, which I’m all about, but I wouldn’t want to pay any money to have a degree in Arts.

Let’s talk about things I dislike. 1. Most movies. 2. Most TV Shows. 3. Most celebrities. 4. Anything that celebrities might say in an interview.

Please know that this is my take on things, which is subject to change, but it’s highly unlikely. I can’t take celebrities seriously. They are overrated. I’ve never understood the hype. Some people look up to them and hold them in high esteem, all because they make mucho dinero or they’ve had cosmetic surgery.

I’ve never read an interview or seen a documentary about someone famous that changed my life or caused me to want to get to know them. Most of the time, it’s caused me much consternation.

My thought process is, “How dumb can one person become? It’s like they vacated their brain to become successful.”

I understand that there are exceptions. However, most celebrities have the exact opposite point of view that I do. And I believe that most of their views stem from trapping themselves inside the bubble of entertainment and make-believe that no longer allows them to linger about with the everyday normalities of common men and women.

It doesn’t matter where they came from; it matters if they remember where they came from. And most of them don’t. From my humble perspective.

The people I admire and look up to are soldiers, farmers, down-to-earth, country-living, and everyday people. They’re the ones who make the world go ‘round.

to those who are friends and neighbors,
