The Birthday Girl

An indeterminable amount of years ago, on August 7th, a baby girl was born in Danli, Honduras, to American missionaries.

She learned the culture and language of an entirely different people group than those in the North. But she moved to America, attended college, met me, and stayed around to be with me.

She has given birth to three amazing boys and is raising them to be great adults. Or that’s our prayer, at least. Mind you, I have a hand in the raising, but today is her day, and I’m giving her honor. The boys and I have a priceless treasure in our home.

She is patient, kind, honest, loyal, beautiful, my best friend, and an amazing wife and mother.

I can’t imagine, nor do I want to imagine, having anyone else as my partner in life. I am blessed to know you and cherish you.

All that to say, thank God you were born. Because of you, my offspring have a fighting chance at being kind-hearted and good-looking.

I love you. Happy Birthday, Charity.

to my wife,
– Caleb
