If I were sick, I would want whoever could exhaust themselves in prayer to do so.
I wouldn’t want a lay-me-down-to-sleep prayer. I would want you to grab hold of the throne of God and violently shake it on my behalf.
I do not mean to say that I will make God do what I want Him to do, nor do I imply that God is asleep and needs me to wake Him.
But I do mean to say that I will employ the use of Scripture on my behalf and state emphatically to Almighty God that Christ Himself said that we can ask the Father anything in His name, and He would give it as long as we don’t ask amiss. Meaning that we do not ask for anything to consume with our base desires selfishly.
Ask, and it shall be given. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened.
I have been and will continue to ask. I have been and will continue to seek. I have been and will continue to knock.
I want to be relentless. Persistent.
At 7:00 p.m. last Monday, we gathered in a home (and all across the country) to do some serious asking, seeking, and knocking.
I implore you, if you have faith at least the size of a mustard seed or any inkling of an idea on how to beseech Almighty God, please do so. And pray as long as you are able.
Is there anything too hard for God? No.
Does He hear and answer prayer? Yes.
Then, let’s pray. And pray for Anna Johnston’s healing.
to the faithful in Christ Jesus,
– Caleb
