The Contented Christmas

We had planned on singing this tonight during our Christmas service at church. No, it isn’t Oh Holy Night or the other usual spiritual Christmas hymns, but it isn’t about Tennessee, either.

This song is about being content.

We may not be at a beach on a tropical island, we may not be in the Colorado mountains, we may not have snow on Christmas day, we may not have the most presents under the tree, but we’re okay with that.

We’re content with what we have and where we are.

I think contentment goes a long way these days. If you can find satisfaction during the mundane and when things aren’t perfect, you have come in contact with a superpower.

Also, we tried to record this video twenty times. Son #3 knocked down a lamp, Son #1 interrupted the song several times, and Son #2 followed whatever Son #1 did. They were supposed to be in bed.

I can’t really play the guitar and kept hitting the wrong chords. So it took us forever and a day.

But here is our final video, our offering to you today. We hope you can enjoy it and find contentment wherever you are.

Because wherever you are, God is there with you.

to whichever state of life you find yourself in,
– Caleb
